Q&A: Do you think my taste in music is weird?

Question by Chuckie H: Do you think my taste in music is weird?
I know I tend to prefer a lot of the old stuff. Here is the music I have on my ipod:
1.Conway Twitty”Tight Fittin Jeans”
2.T.G. Shephard “Do you want to go to heaven?”
3. John Schneider “I’ve been around enough to know”
4. Marty Stuart and Travis Tritt “This one’s gonna hurt for long time”
5. Kenny Rogers “Coward of the county”
6. Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers “All the gold in California”
7. Zach Brown Band “Toes” “Chicken Fried”
8. Tim McGraw “Southern Voice”

Feels So Good – Chuck Mangione

Off the 1978 album of the same name, the song hit #4 in June 1978. The song was nominated for Song of the Year, but lost out to Billy Joel’s “Just The Way You Are”. Chuck plays a brass instrument that resembles a trumpet, but is actually called a “flugelhorn” which is considered by many to be a part of the sax family of instruments. Chuck’s band was hit with a double loss on 2/12/09 when guitarst Coleman Mellett and saxophonist Gerry Niewood both died in a plane crash just outside of Buffalo, NY.

What do you think about the racial component of “smooth jazz”?

It seems to me that a disproportionate percentage of the artists who are played on “smooth jazz” radio stations are White, at the expense of equally or more talented Black artists. Am I wrong?
My collection has quite a few artists of color as well, but you don’t hear (Watercolors on XM) Marion Meadows or Kim Waters or Walter Beasley or Paul Taylor as much as Dave Koz or Richard Elliott or Warren Hill.
